Withdrawal of authorisation to provide external alerts

Main information

The essence of external alerting is the transmission of information on consumer protection infringements to the European Commission in the event of detected breaches of consumer protection legislation with a cross-border element.

If a legal entity ceases to meet the conditions or prerequisites for this activity, it shall immediately inform the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which shall assess this fact and, if justified, withdraw the authorisation.

You are a legal entity that has been granted authorisation to provide external consumer protection alerts and you no longer meet the conditions for carrying out this activity.

What is the benefit of this service

The benefit of the service is to protect the consumer public from legal entities that have ceased to meet the conditions and qualifications for the activity of external consumer protection alerts set out in the Consumer Protection Act.

Appeal options

An appeal may be lodged against the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to withdraw the authorisation to provide external alerts pursuant to Section 152 of the Administrative Procedure Code.
