If you are a third-country national (and therefore you are not a citizen of one of the Member States of the European Union), you are also a family member of a European Union citizen residing in the Czech Republic as a member of the embassy of a foreign state or an accredited international organization of the Czech Republic, then - if you are registered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic - you can apply for a temporary residence permit for a family member of a citizen of the European Union in the territory.
This applies to you if
- You are a citizen of a third country (and therefore you are not a citizen of one of the Member States of the European Union) and you are also a family member of a citizen of the European Union who resides in the Czech Republic as a member of the embassy of a foreign state.
- You are a citizen of a third country (and therefore you are not a citizen of one of the Member States of the European Union) and you are also a family member of a citizen of the European Union residing in the Czech Republic as a member of the international government organization accredited in the Czech Republic.
- You are a third-country national (and therefore you are not a national of one of the Member States of the European Union) and you are also a family member of a national of a state bound by an international agreement negotiated with the European Union or the Agreement on the European Economic Area residing in the Czech Republic as a personnel of a foreign embassy or international governmental organization accredited in the Czech Republic.
The above cases apply to you if you are registered as a family member of a citizen of the European Union by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
When to use this service
You must apply for a temporary residence permit for a family member of a European Union citizen who is a member of the staff of a foreign embassy or international governmental organization accredited in the Czech Republic within three months from the date of entry.

What you need if you are using this service
To apply for a temporary residence permit for a family member of a European Union citizen who is a member of the staff of a foreign embassy or international government organization accredited in the Czech Republic, you must submit the original valid travel document, two photographs and proof that you are a family member of that citizen. European Union (eg marriage certificate, birth certificate).
If you are applying by post, it is sufficient to send a copy of the data page of the travel document and an officially certified copy of the document confirming that you are a family member of an EU citizen when submitting the application. You will then present the original travel document upon receipt of the residence card of a family member of a citizen of the European Union, resp. residence permit for foreigners, as you will be asked to present them.
