Only legally imported sturgeon caviar (Acipenseriformes), which is packaged and labelled in the prescribed manner and which has been legally imported or produced in the European Union, may be traded in the European Union. Only processing and packing or repackingplants licensed by the executive authority in a Member State shall be authorised to process and pack or repack caviar for export, re-export or trade within the European Union in accordance with Article 66(7) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 865/2006.
In Czechia, the Ministry of the Environment is the competent executive authority for licensing caviar processors and packers.
If you are a processor or packer of caviar, you must apply for this licence from the Ministry of the Environment. You will be granted a licence if you meet the conditions under Regulation (EC) No 338/97, Regulation (EC) No 865/2006 and § 16b of Act No 100/2004 Coll.
Once licensed, you will be authorised to process and pack or repack caviar for export, re-export or trade within the European Union.
You are a natural or legal person interested in becoming a caviar processor or packer.
You can use the service at any time.
The application for a licence must be submitted on the form set out in Annex 2 to Decree No 210/2010 Coll., which is available for download on the website of the Ministry of the Environment.
In addition to the requirements of Article 66(7) of Regulation (EC) No 865/2006, the application pursuant to §16b of Act No 100/2004 Coll. must include:
