Change in trade on the initiative of the entrepreneur

Main information

An entrepreneur is required by law to notify changes in the requisites of the declared or licensed trade. The Trade Licensing Office will assess the notified changes and, depending on the result, will enter the change in the Trade Licensing Register; for licensed trades, it will amend the decision to grant a concession.

On the MIT website there is a guide to licensed trades, including the Single Registration Form (CRP) with detailed instructions for completion.

This applies to you if

You are an entrepreneur carrying out a registered or licensed trade.

When to use this service

As an entrepreneur, you are required to notify the Trade Licensing Office of all changes concerning the data and documents specified for the registration of a trade or the application for a concession, and to submit documents on these within 15 days of the date on which the changes occur. This does not apply to amendments and additions already entered in the basic registers, in the commercial or other public register, in the register of beneficial owners or in the information system of the population register if you are a Czech citizen, or in the information system of foreigners if you are a foreign national doing business in Czechia.

For notifying changes electronically, we recommend using the JRF web application.

This Single Registration Form (CRP) is available for use in the current versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

  • to the data box of the relevant trade licensing office.
Information and instructions for electronic submission can be found on the TLR (Trade Licensing Register) website.

To notify changes to a registered or licensed trade, you need the documents in relation to which the change has occurred, such as:

  • identity card
  • documents demonstrating professional or special competence (for craft, tied and licensed trades);
  • document demonstrating the legal reason for using the premises of a registered office or establishment (not required for a natural person if the registered office is the same as their residence).
