It is possible to change your course of study for personal, health or other reasons during your secondary school studies. A change in the field of education is possible provided that the secondary school provides education in more than one field and the change is authorised by the school principal. Hence, this is not a right of the pupil, but an opportunity to change the field of education to address, for example, interest preferences or to support other employability on the labour market. This option is available in all years of study regardless of the form of education (daytime, evening, by correspondence and combined).
As part of the decision to change the field of education, the school principal may stipulate an examination for the pupil as a condition for allowing the change of field and determine its content, scope, date and evaluation criteria. This examination must be taken by the pupil before the decision to change the field of education is issued, as it is only on the basis of this examination that the school principal makes a decision.
When changing the field of education, the condition of the necessity of the pupil's medical fitness is maintained if the new field of education requires it.

You must apply to change your field of education. There is no prescribed form for the application, but a standard form of submission is sufficient, showing the applicant, the matter to which it relates and what is proposed, including identification of the applicant and, where appropriate, the address for delivery. Alternatively, you can use the form published by the school itself on its website.
If the student is a minor, the application is submitted by the student's legal guardian.
