Termination of a foreign national’s registered place of residence by a property owner

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Upon request from the owner or the person authorised to use the property, the MOI CR will delete the data on your registered place of residence in the country.

The prerequisite is that your right to use the property or its defined part, which is at the address where your place of residence is registered, expired and that it is simultaneously true that you really do not use this property or its defined part.

The person filing the request is required to prove these facts.

THIS APPLIES TO YOU, IF the owner or the person authorised to use the property, which is at the address where your place of residence is registered and which you no longer use, will want to request deletion of the information on your registered place of residence. 

SERVICE OUTPUT

Deletion of the information on your registered place of residence in the country, which is stated in your permanent residence permit card, in your residence card of a family member of an EU citizen or in your certificate of temporary residence, whereby this document will become invalid.

WHEN TO USE THE SERVICE

If the owner or the person authorised to use the property needs to have the information deleted on your registered place of residence, which you no longer use.

WHAT YOU NEED IF YOU USE THE SERVICE ELECTRONICALLY

To file a request for deletion of the information on your registered place of residence, the person filing the request can use a template.

The template is available on the website of the Ministry of the Interior.

WHERE AND HOW TO USE THE SERVICE ELECTRONICALLY

The request can be sent in accordance with the Rules of Administrative Procedure to the official contacts of the MOI by e-mail with an advanced electronic signature, with all attachments being in the format of authorised conversion (via the filing office of the MOI CR), or to the data box (to DB MOI CR).

HOW MUCH YOU WILL PAY FOR THE ELECTRONIC PROCESSING

An administrative fee of CZK 100 is paid for filing a request for deletion of a registered place of residence, and this fee is paid for each person.

The administrative fee needs to be paid in the form of fee stamps, which can be purchased, for example, at the offices of Česká pošta, s.p. (Czech Post Office).

To write a request for deletion of the information on a registered place of residence, it is possible to use the template, which is publicly available on the website of the Ministry of the Interior.

WHERE AND HOW TO USE THE SERVICE IN PERSON; WHERE TO SEND THE DOCUMENTS BY MAIL

The request can be filed at an office of the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy of the MOI (DAMP MOI), which has territorial jurisdiction over the address of the accommodation property.

Alternatively, it is possible to send a filled out request in accordance with the Rules of Administrative Procedure by mail to the official contacts of the MOI or directly to an office of DAMP MOI.
