Re-adoption of an adopted child by the spouse of their parent

The law allows an adoptive parent to adopt the child of their spouse (re-adoption).

If the adoptive parent is the spouse of one of the child's parents, the adoption does not impact the family relationship between the adopted person and this parent and their relatives, or the rights and obligations arising from this relationship. If the child has been adopted by the spouse of their parent, they have the status of a common child of the spouses.
