An adult may be adopted if
- a blood sibling of the adopted person has been adopted by the same adoptive parent,
- at the time the application for adoption was filed, the person being adopted was a minor,
- the adoptive parent cared for the person being adopted as their own already when they were a minor, or
- the adoptive parent wishes to adopt a child of their spouse.
An adult may not be adopted if it is contrary to a legitimate interest of their blood parents.
The rules for the adoption of a minor, including the consequences of adoption, apply in the same way.
