Upon request from the owner or the person authorised to use the property, the MOI CR will delete the data on your registered place of residence in the country.

The prerequisite is that your right to use the property or its defined part, which is at the address where your place of residence is registered, expired and that it is simultaneously true that you really do not use this property or its defined part.

The person filing the request is required to prove these facts.

To write a request for deletion of the information on a registered place of residence, it is possible to use the template, which is publicly available on the Information Portal for Foreigners.

The request can be filed at an office of the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy of the MOI (DAMP MOI), which has territorial jurisdiction over the address of the accommodation property.

Alternatively, it is possible to send a filled out request in accordance with the Rules of Administrative Procedure by mail to the official contacts of the MOI or directly to an office of DAMP MOI.

Kolik budete platit

An administrative fee of CZK 100 is paid for filing a request for deletion of a registered place of residence, and this fee is paid for each person.

If you apply in person, the administrative fee must be paid by credit card at a Ministry of the Interior office.

If you apply by post, the administrative fee must be paid by bank transfer via the payment details generator on the Information Portal for Foreigners.

Jaký má služba benefit

By canceling the data on the place of your reported stay, the address of the specific Ministry of Interior office will be registered as the place of your reported stay.

However, this situation does not bring you any benefits, on the contrary, the validity of the permanent residence permit, residence card of a family member of an EU citizen and a certificate of temporary residence will expire.

In addition, the Ministry of the Interior and other authorities will deliver to you by a public decree or through a guardian, which significantly reduces your ability to become acquainted with the content of the delivered document.
