Frequently asked questions
How do I vote using a portable ballot box?
The district electoral commission will send two of its members to visit the voter, bringing with them
- a portable ballot box,
- an official envelope, and
- a ballot paper.
The members will visit the voter and give them an official envelope, and a ballot paper if necessary.
The members will then give the voter space to vote in secret.
The voter then places the official envelope with the amended ballot paper into the ballot box.
Can I vote in another electoral district?
No. You may only vote with the district electoral commission with which you are listed as a voter, as they must note on the list that you have voted.
Can someone else request a portable ballot box on my behalf?
Yes.
Where can I obtain more information?
If you have any questions, you may contact your municipal authority, the relevant regional authority or the Elections department of the Ministry of the Interior (
volby@mvcr.cz).
