If a certificate of temporary residence was issued to you as an EU citizen and you decide to terminate your residence in the Czech Republic and permanently leave the country, you can report the termination of your residence to the MOI.

As an EU citizen/EU family member you must explicitly state that you are terminating your residence in the territory of the Czech Republic. However, if you decide to do so, you must return your residence permit.

You can report the termination of your residence in the country and send your residence permit to the address of that office of the MOI CR, which has territorial jurisdiction over your registered place of residence (domicile) in the Czech Republic.

In that case, we recommend sending it by registered mail or as an insured item with a statement indicating that you are terminating your residence in the Czech Republic.
