In relation to the care of a child, the student has the right to an extension of the time limits for fulfilling study obligations and to relief from the conditions for advancement to the next semester, year or block for the period of time during which maternity leave would be taken, assuming only that he/she does not interrupt his/her studies during this period. The higher education institution decides on study exemptions.
