Beneficiaries of pensions are obliged to notify the Czech Social Security Administration, which pays the pension, of any facts decisive for the beneficiary’s entitlement to the pension or the amount or payment of the pension, within 8 days.
You are fulfilling your statutory obligation by notifying the Czech Social Security Administration of facts relevant to your entitlement to a pension or the amount or payment of a pension. The Czech Social Security Administration obtains information from reports received from beneficiaries or other recipients of a pension containing relevant facts that may subsequently be used to adjust the amount of the pension you receive, the manner in which it is paid, to stop or release the payment of the pension or to review the duration of your entitlement to it.

Reporting obligation common to all types of pension:
If you are a beneficiary or other recipient of a pension, you are obliged to report a change in your permanent address or other residence in the Czech Republic or residence abroad (you can report this using the form available on the Czech Social Security Administration ePortal.
Old-age pension
If you receive an early retirement pension and begin gainful employment which results in you participating in a pension insurance scheme before reaching retirement age, you and your employer are obliged to report this. This obligation can also be fulfilled by simply co-signing the report sent to the Czech Social Security Administration by your employer.
Widow’s/widower’s pension
If you receive a widow’s or widower’s pension, you are obliged to file a report when you remarry.
If you are still receiving a widow’s or widower’s pension 1 year after your spouse's death because you are caring for a dependent child, you must report when the child is no longer classed as dependent, e.g. that the child has stopped training for a future profession.
Orphan’s pension
If you receive an orphan’s pension and you end or interrupt your studies earlier than indicated on the certificate of studies you submitted, or if you change the form of your studies, you are obliged to report this.
If you receive an orphan’s pension and, while doing a distance, evening or combined course of study, you begin gainful employment which results in you participating in a pension insurance scheme or receiving unemployment benefit or retraining benefit, it is your responsibility to report the fact in these cases too.
If you receive any kind of pension and the facts decisive for the duration of your entitlement to this pension, or the amount, payment or provision of the pension, have changed, you are obliged to report this to the Czech Social Security Administration, as the pension payer, within 8 days.
