As an employer (you are a legal or natural person), one of your basic duties in sickness insurance is the reporting obligation.
For the purposes of sickness insurance, you become an employer on the date of the first employee's entry into employment, which is based on participation in sickness insurance.
The competent social security authority will then provide you with the assigned variable symbol and the account number for the payment of premiums.
Where an employer has two or more payroll accountancy offices, each payroll accountancy office shall fulfil the employer's insurance obligations separately for the circle of employees for whom it keeps records of wages and salaries.

The prescribed form ‘Applicationto the Employers’ Register’ may also be submitted on paper. The form is available for manual filling in at the OSSZ or in the "PDF" format on the Application for the Register of Employers website ⁇ ČSSZ ePortal, or it is possible to fill it directly in the PC software within the ČSSZ ePortal and then print it out.
The prescribed form ‘Applicationto the Employers’ Register’should be delivered to the locally competent OSSZ.
The territorial jurisdiction of the OSSZ shall be governed by the registered office of the employer if its registered office is the same as the place of the payroll accountancy office or if the employer does not have a payroll accountancy office. If the place of the payroll accountancy office is not the same as the place of the employer’s registered office, the local jurisdiction of the OSSZ is governed by the place of the payroll accountancy office.
The employer with the seat of the organization in Prague can choose which of the 5 territorial workplaces of the Prague Social Security Administration will handle their social security. The addresses and electronic addresses of OSSZ/PSSZ are listed on the ČSSZ website.

There are no appeal options.
If an employer does not register in the register of employers and also does not register each of his payroll accounts in the register of employers, he commits an offence for which a fine of up to CZK 20,000 may be imposed.
