Receiving reports by the Police from members of the general public

Main information

As a person from among the general public is obliged to notify the Police of the Czech Republic a significant disappearance or theft of a restricted precursor of explosives, which the person acquired before the date of entry into force of this Act, within 24 hours of discovering this fact. The police receives these notifications and, after analyzing them, determines the next course of action.

Immediately upon detection of a significant disappearance or theft of an explosives precursor.

What you need if you are using this service

Send a report to the Police of the Czech Republic. Notification can be submitted in paper form, the form is not specified, forms are not used. Documentation in paper form can be attached to the notification.

To any office of the Police of the Czech Republic, or any police authority.

What is the benefit of this service

Appeal options

This is a notification, not an appealable decision.

A remedy is considered only in proceedings for a misdemeanor. Remedies in misdemeanor proceedings are governed by the Administrative Code and the Act on Misdemeanors.

A fine of up to CZK 100,000 can be imposed for non-fulfilment of the notification obligation.
