If your previous education allows you to do so, you may be admitted to a year higher than first year of education at a higher vocational school. Admission to a higher year is decided by the principal of the higher vocational school after examining evidence of previous education. In the context of the admission procedure, the school principal may stipulate the passing of an examination as a condition of admission; in this case, they shall determine its content, date, form and assessment criteria in accordance with the accredited educational programme for the relevant field of education. If the principal decides to admit you, they will determine the year in which you will be enrolled.

In the case of medical fields, the school principal may only admit an applicant to a higher than first year of education at a higher vocational school if the content of the applicant's previous education corresponds to the content of education in the years the student will not be taking.
