If any of the state social support benefits (child benefit, housing benefit, birth benefit, funeral benefit, parental allowance) or part of thereof has been paid to you unjustly or in a higher amount than it was due as a result of the fault of you, as the recipient of the benefit, or of the person with whom you are jointly assessed, you will be obliged to return the overpayment.

The obligation to return the overpayment of the state social support benefit arises from the date of enforcement of the administrative decision issued by the regional branch of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic.

What is the benefit of this service
The decision on the obligation to return the overpayment and its fulfilment will result in the correction of the situation in the payment of the state social support benefit.
Appeal options
A decision on the obligation to reimburse an overpayment in respect of a state social support benefit may be appealed at the regional branch of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic that issued the decision. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will then decide on the appeal.
