In the case of pressure equipment or assemblies intended for experimental purposes, the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing may, in justified cases, permit their placement on the market or putting into service in the Czech Republic without the conformity assessment for such pressure equipment otherwise required for its placing on the market or putting into service.

You are a manufacturer or importer of pressure equipment that you want to place on the market or put into service and this pressure equipment is intended for experimental purposes.
When to use this service
This service must be used before the pressure equipment or assembly is placed on the market or put into service.
The Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing issues permits through an administrative procedure. In such a case, the procedure will be conducted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Code. The administrative procedure begins with the submission of a complete application The Administrative Procedure Code sets a deadline of 30 days for the processing of an application.

To obtain a permit, it is necessary to submit a reasoned application, which should clearly state the following:
- specification/description of the purpose for which such a permit is requested,
- a completely unambiguous definition of the equipment to be used for experimental purposes,
- indication of where the equipment will be located,
- indication of who will operate the equipment,
- where applicable, what experimental purposes will be pursued,
- if such equipment has been manufactured and tested, the applicant should also indicate by which entity.

Sanctions
If a permit is not granted by the The Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing for the said equipment, the requirements in Act No 90/2016 and the relevant government decree on its implementation will apply for the placement on the market or putting into service of such equipment.
If such equipment is placed on the market or put into service without these requirements being met, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, as the supervisory body, may proceed in accordance with Section 49 of Act No 90/2016.
