The parental allowance is a benefit for parents whereby they can personally provide proper and full-time care for the youngest child in the family, a child under 4 years of age, for an entire calendar month.
A parent can choose the monthly amount of the parental allowance. The choice of the amount of parental allowance can be changed once every 3 months.

You may file your application for the parental allowance via the Integrated Portal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
You can fill in the form and the individual annexes separately on the website of the labour office – the online form and form annexes separately – and send each one separately. Alternatively, you can fill them in as one online form with annexes, where you progressively fill in the form and the relevant annexes, which will all be sent electronically as one submission.

This is a benefit that helps you cover the costs of full-time care for the youngest child in the family, aged 4 or under.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the parental allowance procedure, you can appeal against the decision within 15 days of receiving that decision.
Submit your appeal with the regional branch of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic that decided on the benefit.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will then decide on your appeal.
