Exemption from tolls

Main information

Exemptions from tolls for using a road transport vehicle with four or more wheels and a maximum permissible weight of more than 3.5 tonnes on motorways and selected sections of Class I roads.

Exempted vehicles must be registered in the Electronic Toll System and must be fitted with an approved electronic device (on-board unit) for control purposes.

This applies to you if

Toll-exemptions apply, for example, to vehicles fitted with a blue or blue and red warning lights (Emergency Service vehicles), and also to vehicles of the armed forces of the Czech Republic and to other vehicles listed in Section 20a of Act No 13/1997 on roads, as amended.

What you need if you are using this service

The vehicle operator must conclude an Agreement on the terms and conditions for using the electronic devices in the toll-exemption system with the Electronic Toll System operator.

The vehicle operator must, at the same time, submit the road vehicle’s technical certificate or registration certificate.

Where and how to solve this service

The Agreement on the terms and conditions for using the electronic devices in the toll-exemption system may be concluded by the vehicle operator at a contact point of the Electronic Toll System operator.
