One of the employer’s basic obligations under health insurance is the reporting obligation.
The employer notifies the locally competent district social security administration of the termination of an employee’s employment using the prescribed Notification of commencement of employment (termination of employment) form.

When to use this service
As an employer, you must notify the locally competent district social security administration of the date on which an employee’s employment ends. You are required to do this within eight calendar days of the termination of employment.

What you need if you are using this service
As an employer, you are required to send the prescribed Notification of commencement of employment form in electronic form only (in XML format complying with the specifications of the locally competent social security administration and relevant XSD schemas).
The form must contain the information required to maintain the register of insured persons.

What is the benefit of this service
The insured person is no longer listed as one of your employees, and you are therefore no longer required to pay insurance contributions for them.

As an employer, if you fail to notify the district social security administration of the date of termination of your employee’s employment, this constitutes an offence for which a fine of up to CZK 20 000 may be imposed.
