As a citizen of the Czech Republic, you may only have one permanent residence in the territory of the Czech Republic.
You must report a change of permanent residence to the registration office, which will update the population register information system (informační systém evidence obyvatel).
The address of your permanent residence is one of the reference data in the population records (registr obyvatel).
You can register, if you are a citizen of the Czech Republic and have reached the age of 15.
For citizens under the age of 15, the change of permanent residence must be reported by their legal representative, guardian, custodian, foster parent or the person to whom they have been entrusted by a court decision.
A guardian will act on behalf of a person whose legal capacity has been restricted to the extent that they are unable to report a change of permanent residence themselves.
A change of permanent residence may also be reported by a member of the household who has been granted the authority to represent the citizen by a court, or by an authorised representative.You can report a change of permanent residence at any time, provided that the legal conditions are met.
The Change of permanent residence can be done by submitting a completed and signed permanent residence registration form (Přihlašovací lístek k trvalému pobytu), which is available at any registration office.

You do not need to prove ownership if the registration office can verify the right itself free of charge via public remote access to the land registry.

If you prove your identity with an identity card, the registration office will detach the marked part and issue you a document confirming the change of permanent address. Your current identity card will expire 45 days after you report the change.
The registration office will enter the change into the population register information system (informační systém evidence obyvatel) without undue delay and within three working days at the latest. The new address of permanent residence will then be entered automatically into the population records (registr obyvatel). If you have a data box for natural persons (datová schránka fyzické osoby), an extract from the population records documenting the change in the registered reference data will be sent to you.
If the registration office identifies any deficiencies in the documents you have submitted, or if there are any discrepancies between the information you have provided and that which is already on record, you will be asked to address these issues by a specified deadline of at least 15 days.
If you do not do so by this deadline, the registration office will reject your request to register the change of permanent residence.
Reporting a change of permanent residence incurs an administrative fee of CZK 50.
