Notification of an emergency during the transport of explosives

Main information

An organization operating a means of transport intended for the transport of explosives by road (which must be equipped with a device that allows continuous monitoring of its movement) is obliged to notify the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic without undue delay of any extraordinary event, especially unplanned route change, vehicle failure, accident or an obstacle on the route created during the transport of explosives. 

This applies to you if

You are an organization in the sense of mining regulations that handles explosives for civilian use, and you will transport explosives in the Czech territory.

When to use this service

In the event of an emergency during the transport of explosives, such as a change of route or a breakdown of the means of transport.

What you need if you are using this service

To process it, you need to scan the notification (if it is sent by data box) or make an electronic version of the notification with an electronic signature. The notification must be accompanied by documents in electronic form documenting the facts notified. It is necessary to submit the notification in any electronic form or by telephone.

There are no forms, the notification is free.

What you need if you are using this service

The notification may be sent in paper form to the Police Presidium, or it may be made orally in the minutes or handed over in person at the seat of the Police Presidium. There are no forms. Depending on the nature of the matter, the matter can also be resolved by telephone.

What is the benefit of this service

Ensuring general security. Explosives are a highly dangerous commodity and a sufficient overview of their handling, including their transport.

Sanctions

A fine of up to CZK 2 million can be imposed for non-compliance with the notification obligation.
