Integrated permit

Main information

An integrated permit is a decision laying down the conditions for the operation of an installation which falls under Annex 1 to the Integrated Prevention Act and which is issued in place of decisions, opinions, statements and consents issued under other environmental laws.

To obtain it, it is necessary to submit an application, which is published on the website of the Ministry of the Environment: www.ippc.mzp.cz

You operate an establishment (company, plant, company) with an activity listed in Annex 1 to the Integrated Prevention Act.

When to use this service

An integrated permit must be obtained before the start of operation of an installation corresponding to the capacities listed in Annex 1 to the Integrated Prevention Act.

What you need if you are using this service

The completed application must be submitted using the form available on www.ippc.mzp.cz. The submission must also include the annexes required by the application form. It is a multi-page document with precise instructions on how to complete it. It is also necessary to have the necessary data/data ready to complete it. These are data related to the description of the technology and to discharges into air, water and waste generation. 

Where and how to solve this service

The application shall be submitted electronically to the competent regional authority according to the location of the facility, via the data box of the competent regional authority.

If attachments to the application cannot be submitted electronically (large datasets), this part can be documented in person at the competent authority or sent by post.

The whole process of obtaining an integrated permit from the creation of the application to the final issue is a very individual matter and it is not possible to specify exactly how long it will take.

How much will you pay

fee of CZK 30 000 must be paid to the competent regional authority before a decision is issued. This fee is determined by the Administrative Fees Act.

What is the benefit of this service

The integrated permit allows the facility to operate in accordance with environmental protection. At the same time, as an operator, you comply with your legal obligation.

Appeal options

An appeal against the conditions laid down in the integrated permit shall be lodged with the authority which issued the permit, which shall send the appeal to the superior authority.

As an operator, you are liable to a fine of up to CZK 10 million for operating a facility without an integrated permit.

Cannot be specified. In any event, the issuance of an integrated permit shall be subject to the statutory time limits specified in the Integrated Prevention Act and the Code of Administrative Procedure.
