Extension of domestic authorisation to a branch of a non-European foreign higher education institution

Main information

Based on a written application submitted by a branch of a non-European foreign higher education institution, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports may decide to extend the domestic authorisation to the pursuit of other foreign higher education study programmes. The Ministry should decide on the application within 150 days.

You are a branch of a non-European foreign higher education institution and you would like to extend your domestic authorisation to provide other foreign higher education programmes.

You can apply for extension of domestic authorisation anytime you decide to provide other foreign higher education programmes.

What you need if you are using this service

You need:

• A written application for the extension of the domestic authorisation;
• documents proving the establishment and operation of the relevant non-European foreign higher education institution in the home country as a state-recognised higher education institution;
• data on its statutory bodies;
• data on the place of implementation of educational activities in the foreign higher education study programme and, depending on the type of study programme, the implementation of creative activities in the Czech Republic;
• information about studies;
• accreditation documents or other forms of recognition of the foreign higher education study programme;
• documents proving and regulating the cooperation of the given domestic legal entity with the relevant non-European foreign higher education institution
