Frequently asked questions

Who is obliged to fill in the statistical statements of the Czech Statistical Office?

The reporting obligation, i.e. the obligation to complete the statistical statements for the relevant year, is laid down in the statistical survey programme. This programme shall specify, for each survey, the range of reporting agents concerned by the completion and submission of specific statements. The criterion for which statements the reporting agent will submit is its classification according to the Classification of Economic Activities (CZ-NACE) and whether the specific survey is exhaustive (overall) or selective, with the sample of units determined on the basis of mathematical-statistical methods (they are different for each economic sector). In addition, there are reports to be filled in by all reporting agents, regardless of their sectoral affiliation.

Detailed information can be found directly in the wording of Act No 89/1995 on the State Statistical Service or in the statistical survey programme.
