Award of a social scholarship

Main information

A scholarship awarded to a student in the event of a difficult social situation. It is always awarded to a student who is entitled to a state social assistance benefit, which includes a child bonus, according to the Act on State Social Assistance Benefits, if the decisive income of household members determined for the purposes of the state social assistance benefit does not exceed the product of the family's subsistence minimum and a coefficient of 1.5.

This applies to you if

You are a student of Czech higher education institution and the decisive income of household members determined for the purposes of state social assistance benefits does not exceed the product of the family's subsistence minimum and a coefficient of 1.5.

If you are a foreign national, you must meet at least one of the eligibility conditions for the benefit as set out in Section 15 of the Act on State Social Assistance Benefit.

When to use this service

If you are in a difficult social situation and have a written confirmation issued at your own request by the state social assistance authority that the income of household members determined for the purposes of the state social assistance benefit in the qualifying period, which includes the month of September, did not exceed the product of the subsistence minimum amount of household members and the coefficient 1.5.
