Main information
In the interest of the successful upbringing of the child, the director of the facility is entitled to allow the child to stay outside the facility, also on the basis of a written request from the child's or adult client's legal representatives. The director of the facility shall, in accordance with Act No. 109/2002 Coll. and Act No. 359/1999 Coll., permit the child to stay outside the facility or, in administrative proceedings, shall decide on the rejection of the application for the child's residence permit outside the facility.

If you are a parent of a child or an adult child (client) who has been placed in a school facility for the performance of institutional or protective education (children's home, children's home with a school, diagnostic institute, educational institute) on the basis of a court decision on an interim measure, order of institutional upbringing or imposition of protective upbringing.

What is the benefit of this service
The child (the adult client) placed in the facility is allowed to stay outside the facility in the interest of successful upbringing.
Appeal options
An appeal may be lodged against a decision rejecting an application for a residence permit through the Director of the establishment which issued the decision; he or she will be referred to a superior administrative body - the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports or a regional authority. The appeal shall be duly substantiated.
