Main information
The extension studies are designed for successful graduates of three-year secondary education with a certificate of apprenticeship who want to supplement their education with a school-leaving examination.
The specific extension studies for obtaining the graduation exam are always linked to the relevant field of study. It is fixed on which secondary education with an apprenticeship certificate follows a specific extension study. Education in the extension study effectively follows the study of secondary school and extends it in certain areas of education.
Part of the admission procedure for the extension study is always a single entrance examination. The length of the extension study in the daily form is two years, in the form of distance, evening, combined and distance study for a maximum of three years. The fields of extension study at schools are listed in the register of schools and educational establishments.
Supplementary studies enable pupils who have already obtained secondary education with a certificate of apprenticeship to subsequently obtain secondary education with a school-leaving examination in a manner tailored to the content and time needs of these pupils.
It is usually a long-distance, evening or distance form of teaching, but it can also be daily. The application may also include a field of education other than the superstructure. You can apply for all fields and forms of education in the first and second rounds of the admission procedure on one form, in which you can fill in up to three fields without a talent exam and two fields with a talent exam, in order of your priority, or order of importance. The algorithm assigns candidates to schools according to the results of the entrance examinations and according to priority, but it never happens that a candidate with poorer results skips another candidate just because he has a higher-ranked school in priority. From the third round, the number of applications is unlimited, only one school is listed on one application and a single entrance examination may no longer be part of the admission procedure. School applicants are no longer assigned an algorithm.
