Main information
As a legal entity or a natural person, you may provide tertiary vocational education and issue documents certifying its completion only in accordance with an accredited education programme.
The application for accreditation of an education programme is submitted and approved in accordance with the procedure set by the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education (hereinafter “NAB”).
NAB decides on granting accreditation based on the opinion of the independent Accreditation Commission for Tertiary Vocational Education (hereinafter the “Accreditation Commission”).
Unlike framework education programmes for primary and secondary schools, which are issued by the Ministry, the education programme for tertiary vocational education is drafted by the applicant (the school) and submitted to NAB for accreditation.
The education programme for tertiary vocational education defines in particular:
- specific goals,
- the form,
- length and content of the tertiary vocational education,
- organisational arrangements for instruction,
- the graduate profile,
- the language of instruction,
- conditions for the course and completion of education.
Accreditation of a tertiary vocational education programme is a prerequisite for registering a tertiary vocational school in the Register of Schools and School Facilities.
This applies to you if
You wish to provide tertiary vocational education in the Czech Republic as a legal entity or a natural person.
When to use this service
You may apply at any time.
Applicants (students) may be admitted from 1 September after the education programme has been accredited and the school has been entered into the Register of Schools and School Facilities.
